A group of disparate friends and couples decide to divide the sum of a loft to escape their failing relationships after a night of drunken gluttony. When two dead bodies are found in the loft, it sets off a decade-long investigation and nationally obsessed trial that exposes the crumbling struts holding together their worlds.
