Nigel Collins has been writing about professional boxing for more than 50 years, including two terms as editor-and-chief of The Ring magazine. Other platforms include ESPN.com, HBO, Showtime, Ringside Seat, Boxing News, KO, Boxing Illustrated and World Boxing. His book Boxing Babylon was published in 1990. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015. Other honors include the Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame, the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame, the Rocky Marciano Award for “excellence in boxing coverage,” and the James J. Walker Award for “long and meritorious service to boxing.” Born in England he now resides in the Philadelphia area.
